Katie is a middle to long distance athlete from Wellington New Zealand. Significant running achievements include New Zealand Marathon Champion 2015, Oceania Marathon Champion 2016 (current personal best: 2.40, Gold Coast Marathon 2016).
While a keen marathon runner, Katie is first and foremost a wife and mother to her three girls aged between 5-8 years old.
University educated in Health and Physical Education, together with her own running success and raising a young family, Katie has developed a strong passion and interest in health/fitness and sharing this with others.
With an interest in writing Katie wanted a way to log her next marathon journey, while also using what she has learnt/learning ‘on the road’ to inspire others, be it in marathon running, other sports events or simply in their own health and well being. So welcome to her “running real blog”, sharing real thoughts and experiences with you.
